200 families quarantined in Lautoka have received food aid from FREUND Fiji.

The Office of Commissioner Western received these food rations from FRIEND’s founder and CEO, Sashi Kiran, and has served them to 44 communities distributed in Lautoka.

Kiran says families who have no food at all and have no other sources of income can contact 8983183 if they live in Lautoka and 8983181 if they live in Nadi for this help.

Kiran says while people are filling out this form, people are organizing, calling and evaluating the families so that the food will be handed out.

Kiran says that some families have been quarantined in Lautoka and Nadi for more than two Weeks of isolation without food aid.

She adds that this includes approximately 21 families living in an occupied settlement in an urban area with nothing.
