CM – Thais cannot currently choose vaccination options, Health Minister Pattaya Mail tells

The Minister of Health said Thailand is not ordering the same quantities of all types of COVID-19 vaccines. The types of vaccines to be used for specific groups depend on their circumstances. There are no laws that require people to be vaccinated. It is their right if they want to be vaccinated, and the government has the vaccines for them.

The types of vaccine depend on their timing and ability to work. For example, the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer is suitable for children aged 12 to 18 years. Therefore, it would be given to that group of people first.

AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine can be given to people over the age of 18. However, due to limited quantities, the elderly are not asked to receive the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine depending on the situation. When different types of vaccines are widely used, the public will have access to them.
